Please be advised that East Ayrshire Council has, as of Wednesday 9 August 2017, served Stop and Enforcement Notices on Community Windpower, and other interested parties, in relation to the works which have been undertaken on site to date and the non-compliance with Condition 36 of planning approval 13/0198/PP (Private Water Supplies)

The notices, in tandem, have the effect on stopping all works associated with the windfarm development until such times as their terms are complied with. The Stop Notice has taken effect immediately and will stay in place until such times as the enforcement notice takes effect on 8 September 2017.

I can confirm that the site has been visited both yesterday and today by officers and Natural Power have been stood down. No works are currently underway and one rig has been removed from site.

It is anticipated that officers from The Council will meet with representatives of Community Windpower to discuss matters and explore possible solutions to the current position at the early part of next week.

I will issue an update following this meeting should any of the current circumstances change significantly.

It’s about time the councils did what was necessary to top the continual harassment from wind farm developers.

What have the developers done wrong, apart from the obvious?

It took East Ayrshire Council long enough to act. Better late than never I suppose.

This is great news. Wind Farm developers need to abide by the rules. Clearly this did not happen and they are paying the price.
A 34.2m, NPS 100C-24 kW turbine was built 300 m from my house with no planning. We alerted EAC and an Enforcement Notice was served to remove it from site. Sadly the company, Constantine Wind Energy, from Surrey have been allowed to put in a Retrospective Planning Application to EAC.
Myself and my neighbours are objecting to this as the noise that emanates from this turbine is horrific, we have shadow flicker and it does not comply with the East Ayrshire Local Development plan. Another blatant example of not abiding by the rules and riding roughshod over rural communities.

Unprofessional, unqualified, councillors taking the word of giants such as Constantine who build unauthorised, illegal wind turbine without permission and IN THE WRONG PLACE after the authorisation had expired and not a thing was done by an incompetent coucil.
Also the owner of the land took payment but the illegal wind turbine was miles from his own home in a field adjacent to others houses ruining their lives.
What did the idiot council do…,a big fat NOTHING. TEAR THEM DOWN.
What did Constantine do.IGNORED THE COUNCIL AND BUILT THE WIND TURBINE.
WHY DO WE HAVE A COUNCIL CERTAINLY NOT TO PROTECT THE CITIZENS BUT TO CATER TO BIG BUSINESS REGARDLESS

SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT SHOULD CONTROL THIS GROSS INCOMPETENCY OF LICAL COUNCILS

The beautiful landscape is ruined and tourism threatened.

Not before time. This whole fiasco has gone beyond its sell-by date and should be grounded PERMANENTLY !
