Concerned About Wind Turbines (CAWT) is a group based in Aberdeenshire, helping local communities protect their local environment from the onslaught of wind energy developments, which as of 21st July 2013, has seen 708 turbines approved, with another 220 turbine applications pending, 391 turbines refused, and 435 turbine applications withdrawn.

CAWT work extremely hard, mapping all the applications which shows the horrific situation facing Aberdeenshire, and providing help and support to individuals and groups campaigning against wind energy developments in the Aberdeenshire area.

The CAWT website provides a very informative service for individuals with the provision of an active forum, a summary guide on how to Object to Wind Turbine Developments, an up-to-date list of all the Aberdeenshire Planning Applications currently active in the planning system, with a planning status summary for each area in Aberdeenshire.

Don’t be afraid to ask us for help. CAWT is a part-time and voluntary effort by a number of Aberdeenshire residents, and we shall do our best to help you if you ask.
