Plans for 10 turbines at Druim Ba between Kiltarlity and Abriachan have
been rejected today by the Scottish Government after a second public inquiry.
General wind farm campaigner Lyndsey Ward was “delighted”
She said: “The community has had seven years of wind farm developers trying
to get a wind farm in that area. This is the second time it has been kicked
out. Let that be an end to it and give the community some peace.”
The scheme was massively scaled-back from 23 turbines after it was rejected
by the government in an earlier bid.
A Highland Council planning committee voted against the plans in 2011.
