A concerned tech tycoon who fears the imminent breakdown of British society has created a extraordinary ‘survive and thrive’ farm – and has plans for many more.

Entrepreneur Peter Dawe, 65, fears climate change, political unrest and even famine pose a real threat to the future of civilised society in this country.

So the former tech entrepreneur has bought a 1,500 acre farm in Norfolk and is transforming into a ‘self-sustainable’ community for like-minded ‘survivalists’ where 100 people are able to live in safety.

Today, the project called Beat the Bear boasts an orchard, flour mill, solar panels and livestock and the hope is to start a community garden for fruit and vegetables.
