Notice is hereby given that Fallago Rig Wind Farm Limited (“the Company”) has been granted a variation by Scottish Ministers to the Fallago Rig Wind farm section 36 consent granted by Scottish Ministers on 9 November 2010. The variation grants an additional 5 years to the operational life of the windfarm.
NOTE OF INTEREST – The Reporter, David Russell recommended to the Scottish Ministers that this application should be REFUSED along with Fallago Rig 2 application.
Recommendations: I recommend that the Scottish Ministers should refuse to grant both of the applications.
However the Ministers disagreed:
Ministers are satisfied that extending the operational period by 5 years is consistent with national energy policy as it would maintain Fallago Rig 1 wind farm’s contribution to renewable energy generation and to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
