Paul’s Hill 2 – Consented

The Scottish Ministers acknowledge that there will be some localised landscape and visual impacts but are satisfied, that overall, the proposed Development is appropriately sited and designed and that the removal of Turbine T1 will further mitigate those localised impacts. The landscape and visual impacts which remain are acceptable in the contextof the benefits that the proposed Development will bring. The Scottish Ministers are satisfied that other environmental issues can be appropriately addressed by the mitigation measures set out in the ES and secured by relevant conditions attached to the consent and planning permission deemed to be granted by the Scottish Ministers

The Scottish Ministers agree with the Reporters’ recommendation that section 36 consent should be granted for the construction and operation an extension to Paul’s Hill Wind Farm, to be known as Paul’s Hill II Wind Farm, and that a direction deeming planning permission to be granted should be given for it.  http://www.dpea.scotland.gov.uk/CaseDetails.aspx?id=120129
