Scottish ministers Neil Gray and Patrick Harvie will officially open Muirhall Energy’s 36MW Greengairs East Wind Farm later today.
The project, located to the northeast of Airdrie in Scotland’s central belt, comprises eight Vestas V136 4.5MW turbines and was financed by Close Brothers.
It will support an annual Community Investment Fund of £180,000 for five local community council areas.
Equivalent to more than £7.2m over its 40-year lifetime, the fund will open for applications this December.  https://renews.biz/87700/ministers-attend-scottish-wind-farm-opening/?fbclid=IwAR0NFvSKlukbXDe1O2ZKefQSGSTvLK4hsK9Vycoi-d8GKD5vypUe9B9xz4I
