There are many reasons why David Cameron does not deserve to win the next general election but the first is this: rather than take the brave and principled decision to lead a minority government he instead took the pusillanimous and selfish one to form one of the most cynical, self-defeating, electorate-betraying alliances since Stalin’s pact with Adolf Hitler.
