Neart na Gaoithe wind farm survey gets underway – East Lothian News

Survey work for the new offshore wind farm Neart na Gaoithe will start tomorrow (Wednesday, October 16) in the sea off the Dunbar coast.

An under sea electricity cable from the proposed wind farm will connect to the onshore National Grid connection at Crystal Rig in the Lammermuirs.

The assessments, carried out by Mainstream Renewable Power near Thorntonloch beach, will consist of soil tests on the seabed. The beach will stay open throughout the survey.
