West Coast Energy has welcomed the decision by Aberdeenshire Council to grant planning permission for its proposed 4 turbine, 10MW, Cairnborrow Wind Farm. The wind farm, located some 6km to the north west of Huntly, is projected to generate enough renewable electricity to meet the annual domestic electricity consumption needs equivalent to around 5,700 homes.
