We have recieved an email (published below) from residents on Helensburgh making an appeal for objections.

The Helensburgh wind farm application has reached a critical moment.

If you have not already objected, could you do so? And fast. Thanks.

Argyll and Bute Council has announced that the deadline for representations is 10th October, with the Planning Committee considering it on 22nd October.

The matter is therefore URGENT and we need more objections.

The situation is that the Turbines Evaluation Group (TEG-H) has been working hard to gather information. The data shows that this wind farm must be opposed.

One important new appearance is the release of the new Scottish Planning Policy (SPP). This has a list of 19 considerations related to onshore wind farms. It also states (section 170) that such sites should be suitable for wind farms “in perpetuity” and section 174 allows for expansion.

I attach below a flyer which includes areas further away from Helensburgh which would be affected. If you could let others see it, we would be grateful.

TEG-H has a website. The address is: www.helturbines.org

Please could you look at it, especially the video “tour” showing the extent of visual impact of the proposed wind farm.

Your help in this would be appreciated.

It is time to stop the prolifération of the ugly windfarm around scotland.
For an obvions reason : no money is scheduled for the dismantelment
Of the installation when they will be out of order.
The view will be destroyed. The health of the citizens living close by will be affected.
Please Leave Helensburgh FREE of windfarm
