SSE has sold a further 10per cent stake in the Beatrice offshore wind farm
to Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, its joint venture on the project.

SSE retains a 40per cent stake in the £2billion project and is the lead
operator, with CIP now owning 35per cent and Repsol, the Spanish energy
group, holding the other 25per cent.

The 588 megawatt wind farm is in the Outer Moray Firth off the coastline of
Caithness, and the partners hope to begin construction this year, helped by
funding from the European Investment Bank.

No financial details were disclosed.
