I AM reminded that it was the great French writer Alphonse de Lamartine who said that “experience is the only prophecy of wise men”. The Agenda article ( “Throwing cash at wind generation has overtones of a Darien Scheme”, The Herald, January 29) by David Watson, a retired chartered electrical engineer with 35 years’ experience in the international energy field, is therefore a high value forecast of Scotland’s future electricity needs and sourcing.
