According to figures provided by Energy UK, electricity delivered to the UK
grid in February (before the shutdown of the Longannet coal-fired plant in
Fife) was generated by the following sources:

Coal: 19.31%
Gas power stations: 35.72%
Nuclear: 20.59%
Wind: 8.28%
Hydro: 1.82%
Interconnectors: 7.98% net with 5.30% from France and 2.69% from Holland

Over February the average daily price for power was £32.38/MWh and the spot
price for gas was 29.58p/thm.
