RECENTLY there have been a number of cargo ships docking at the quay
adjacent to Inchgreen Drydock in Greenock and unloading wind turbine
components. Fabricated steel sections of the support columns, turbines and
blades are covering the area at the drydock premises. Those items were
obviously manufactured somewhere other than in Scotland. A trawl of the
movements of ships in Clydeport revealed 30 ships arrived with wind turbine
components during the month of July. All but three were from Germany (of
which there were four), Spain (12), Denmark (seven} and Portugal (four).

It makes one wonder where are all the thousands of jobs in Scotland claimed
by the Scottish Government and the Renewables industry. The evidence is
that the jobs are a chimera of SNP propaganda and one only needs to come to
Inchgreen Drydock for proof.
