The first blades have been assembled and fitted at a new Muirhall Energy
turbine parc in West Lothian.

Although the first turbine towers were erected in November 2016, there was
a delay for blade assembly whilst waiting for a new radar to be
commissioned at Edinburgh airport.

The radar is being built to ensure that the moving turbines are not
confused with aircraft on the radar screen, a deal for which was put in
place in Summer 2015.

The site near Faulhouse is being powered by German-built wind turbines and
has a total generating capacity of 30.75MW which is capable of supplying
more than 24,000 homes when operational.
