Councillors are to meet to decide the fate of an eight-turbine wind farm in
the Scottish Borders.

LE20 Ltd is behind the Howpark project near to Grantshouse in eastern
Berwickshire.

A decision was deferred last month for more detailed reports on any
possible noise impact from the scheme.

Scottish Borders Council officials have recommended approval of the project
but there have been a number of objections lodged.

Opponents have highlighted that the area was previously said to have no
further capacity for turbines.

However, a report to councillors said that the approval of other wind farms
on appeal meant the “prevailing character of the landscape” had now changed.
