Natural Power’s Jeremy Sainsbury OBE, has officially opened the Harburnhead
wind farm, near West Calder, West Lothian, on behalf of the joint venture
between Enel Viento and FIM Services.

Natural Power has been working with the JV partners on the 51.7MW,
22-turbine Harburnhead wind farm since 2015, providing due diligence for
the project purchase stage, followed by pre-construction services.

Suzy Babbage, Asset Manager, FIM Services, said: “We have been very pleased
with the level of service we have received from Natural Power during the
construction of the Harburnhead project, which has been delivered on
schedule and most importantly under budget.”

Meanwhile, Guy Milligan, a senior renewable heat engineer at Natural Power,
has joined the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE)
Certification Register of Heat Network Consultants following his training
and exam success.

He joins colleague Steve Smith, who was officially accepted as the first
Scottish-based CIBSE registered Heat Network Consultant last year.

The Code of Practice has been jointly developed between CIBSE and the
Association for Decentralised Energy to ensure that district heating
networks in the UK are designed, built and operated to a high standard.
