Following a request for a scoping opinion by Energiekontor UK Ltd in respect of the proposed Lairg Extension Wind Farm, a scoping consultation was initiated by the Energy Consents Unit on 13 July 2018.

On 07 September 2018, prior to the scoping opinion being finalised, Energiekontor UK Ltd advised the Energy Consents Unit that the capacity of the proposed wind farm will now not exceed 50MW and consequently, section 36 consent was no longer required to be applied for.

Energiekontor UK Ltd intends to proceed through Town and Country Planning.
