The proposed Strathrory Wind Farm is situated north of Strathy Burn and east of the B 9176, approximately 4 km northeast of Ardross and 8 km northwest of Alness in the Highlands (‘the Site’). At this stage it is anticipated any development will consist of up to 11 x 5.6 megawatt (MW) turbines, with blade to tip heights of up to 180 m resulting in an installed generating capacity of up to 62 MW. Alongside development of a wind farm, supporting infrastructure is anticipated to include a battery storage compound, associated crane pads, access tracks, a substation and temporary construction compound (‘the Proposed Development’).
