Additional Extension to Kennoxhead Wind Farm comprising up to 9 turbines, with a maximum blade tip height of 220m.

Brookfield Renewable UK Limited (hereafter referred to as ‘the Applicant’) intends to apply to the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit (ECU) for Section 36 consent under the Electricity Act 1989(‘the Act’)to construct and operate a second extension to the consented Kennoxhead Wind Farm. The proposal (Kennoxhead Wind Farm Extension II Penbreck)) (hereafter referred to as ‘the proposed Development’) is a re-design of the consented but unbuilt Penbreck Wind Farm (comprising nine turbines of up to 145m to tip),south-west of Glespinand south-east of Muirkirk, South Lanarkshire.
