North Lowther Energy Initiative (NLEI) – Refused

ECU00000426

Wind Farm (Generating station of >100 <200 MW Capacity)

Installed capacity of the proposed generating station would be up to 147MW comprising up to 35 turbines with a maximum ground to blade tip height of 149 metres.

Reporter – “Overall, I find that in balancing the factors for and against the proposal the significant adverse effects on the natural beauty of the area outweigh the benefits envisaged. I have considered all other matters but find none that would lead me to conclude otherwise. Therefore, I conclude that the application should be refused.”
