We have received a message from the Contractor carrying out the BEIS Study which we highlighted on this page last week.
“The stakeholder engagement exercise has been opened to invited organisations who are involved in technical application of the current guidance (ETSU-R-97 and the IOA GPG), to consider whether it remains suitable and consistent with government policies in light of developments in knowledge and technologies, and (if not), what might need to be updated. The invited participants include local planning authorities who have handled wind turbine applications, as well as professional associations and government agencies.
Unfortunately, responses received from any other organisations, companies or individuals are not going be considered as part of this current exercise. Naturally, any future development of guidance (if required) is likely to involve public consultation, which would be open to any interested party or group”.
