Both Government and Opposition want us to decarbonise our electricity system and spend even more billions on renewable wind and solar technologies. They justify this on the grounds of low CO2 emissions, even though the supposed low costs have been shown to be a fantasy.
However, CO2 is not the only yardstick by which we should measure the sustainability or desirability of energy technologies. We should also look at energy return on investment, land usage, mineral requirements and overall mortality. https://davidturver.substack.com/…/wind-solar…
