SIR – The chairman of the National Infrastructure Commission, Sir John Armitt, informs us that the “wind isn’t going to stop blowing, the sun’s not gonna stop shining” (report, April 27).
For seven consecutive days I drove past an array of wind turbines earlier in the year. They were static, as there was no wind. I also could count on the fingers of one hand the warm days we have enjoyed in Scotland this year.
