We received a reply from the Scottish Government to our Petition to the Scottish Parliament today to which we will be making a response. They have agreed to undertake work
“to explore the benefits and disadvantages of altering the 50MW threshold, and explore the scope for planning authorities to determine more applications for onshore wind farm developments.”
They have suggested that we discuss our request for an independent advocate to represent third parties participating in Inquiries, with the DPEA Stakeholders’ Forum of which SAS is a member. We will of course do this but as funding needs to be discussed, we believe it will also have to be discussed directly with Ministers.
We have until the 14 May to respond.
