The spreadsheet below sets out progress on renewables between 2013 and 2023. The columns indicate the following. As the data began in March 2013 an assessment of the annual position is made for March.
A. Date when data published – the data gives the position 3 months earlier.
B. Operational schemes
C. Quarterly increase.
D. Annual rise
E. Schemes under construction.
F. Schemes with consent where construction hasn’t begun.
G. Total of operational, under construction and consented schemes.
H. Quarterly changes to totals.
I. Schemes in Planning.
J. All schemes currently in the Planning system
K. Schemes that are operational or under construction.
L. Annual changes since March 2013
M Years since March 2013.

The purpose of this material is to demonstrate how renewable enrgy capacity has been increasing steadily over the last 10 years in spite of the reluctance of many developers to act on their consents timeously.
SG claimed the 2020Target wouldn’t be met. I disagreed and was proved correct. They now claim it will be very difficult to meet the new targets (particularly on Onshore Capacity) but the data shows that is once again untrue.
I have included comments to that effect on all my objections and representations and will continue to do so.
