NEW details about the public inquiry into the Scoophill windfarm development were shared this week.
The formal public inquiry was triggered after members of Dumfries and Galloway Council’s planning committee in March voted to lodge their opposition with Scottish Ministers to the 60 turbine scheme proposed by Community Windpower Ltd (CWL).
Details of the inquiry were read out at the monthly meeting of Moffat and District Community Council on Tuesday, with secretary Mick Barker stating: “We have to respond to the Energy Consensus Unit by July 9 to tell them that we will be taking part. By the middle of August they will be telling us about the arrangements for the preliminary meeting which will determine how the windfarm inquiry will take place.
“By the middle of September there will be a timetable and agenda issued for the public inquiry and they are anticipating that the inquiry and hearing process will be in December of this year with the report finally going to Scottish Ministers in March of next year.”  https://www.dng24.co.uk/december-date-for-scoop-hill-inquiry/
