An urgent request has been made to extend the deadline for comments on the Giants Burn wind farm plan.
The proposal would see seven turbines on a site near Dunoon and Sandbank, five with a blade tip height of 200 metres and two with 180-metre blades.
It was formally submitted by Statkraft – which is owned by the Norwegian state – on July 15 and the closing date for comments is shown as next Monday, September 1.
So far air traffic control organisation NATS has submitted a formal objection, but no comments are shown on the Scottish Government’s website from NatureScot – which said it would object – Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority, Argyll & Bute Council or any community councils.
