With almost one thousand wind turbines either in operation, consented or at various stages of the planning system in the Scottish Borders concerned residents are calling for an inquiry into the use of asbestos in their manufacture.The plea comes as it emerged that Scottish Government was unaware that the cancer-causing substance was used in their manufacture.Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk MP John Lamont has raised the issue with both the Scottish and UK Governments.
