FURTHER clarity is required before community councils put down their signatures on a unified statement calling for a pause in all major energy developments in the Borders.A meeting went ahead in Lauder Public Hall on Saturday (April 18) to discuss signing a three-point agreement, which would ask for a moratorium on energy bids, for elected members to support and protect communities at a national level and an inquiry to go ahead on the planning process. It was first proposed at a convention of community councils held in Jedburgh in January, with the Lauder meeting a follow-up. https://www.bordertelegraph.com/news/26033681.community-councils-seek-clarity-unified-statement/
