EDF power solutions UK has completed installation of all 20 turbines at its 102MW Stranoch wind farm between New Luce and Barrhill as the project moves into its final construction phase.
EDF power solutions UK said Vestas and principal contractor I&H Brown completed the installation following the delivery of 189 key component parts from the Port of Cairnryan earlier this year.
The company added that electrical works by Power Systems UK to connect the wind farm to the grid are now underway ahead of full energisation next year.
The 20-turbine project includes the EnVentus V150, described as the UK’s most powerful turbine and one of the first of its kind to be installed in the country.
