A group representing 200 rural community councils have united to demand an independent inquiry into the impact of huge multi-billion green energy and electricity infrastructure projects across Scotland.

The move from The Rural Scotland Convention of Community Councils follows concerns that the Scottish Government is only now getting round to assessing the wider impact.

The group, which stretches across five areas of the country, with community councils groups in Highland, the South of Scotland, North East Scotland, Shetland and Perth & Kinross are demanding a pause on major energy developments in the meantime while raising new concerns with the Scottish Government.  https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/26563618.rural-revolt-200-councils-demand-inquiry-scots-green-revolution/?fbclid=IwY2xjawUci5dwZG9mAWV4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkEDIyMjAzOTE3ODgyMDA4OTIAAR4WjT1ZHx3kXqyHyZ27eoLl37IkOrn7QWQMW6QxEBz4ofYhR5x_x8duhpWmLg_aem_IlUG8Qp0RRPvO-a1FRA37g
