EAST Ayrshire Council has sided against plans for a new wind farm near Dalmellington, unless two of the development’s 11 turbines are removed.

Last week’s planning committee considered a consultation from Scottish Ministers on the application submitted by Vattenfall Wind Power Ltd.

The proposal for South Kyle II Windfarm comprises 11 turbines up to 200 metres high, a battery energy storage system (BESS) and associated infrastructure on forestry land south-east of Dalmellington and south-west of New Cumnock.  https://www.ayradvertiser.com/news/26676437.east-ayrshire-opposes-wind-farm-unless-two-turbines-removed/?fbclid=IwY2xjawVPK3JleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBwZG9mAXNydGMGYXBwX2lkEDIyMjAzOTE3ODgyMDA4OTIAAR-GSq74xJPsUFnttpf0gg_zR91bC9lDIVEmQrffd84VoHN–vbIMNRUWS6NBA_aem_Xw5muRq2T6dvmAQTuAX8FQ
