The protection group was created in January 2005 in order to fight a destructive planning application by Wind Hydrogen Limited for 125 large wind turbines to be erected in Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park.
The company pulled out of the development eventually but many more applications for wind factories have been forthcoming and that is why we are still battling on in order to try to protect the largest and most successful Regional Park in Scotland.
The Park is used by millions of visitors and is a wild and wonderful area for many different types of pursuits. It is also a beautiful landscape which nurtures diverse forms of wildlife as well as fauna.
The organisation is managed by an Executive Committee, which has a large membership that receives regular newsletters outlining the progress of the many planning applications in Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park.
