P895/17 Pet: Community Windpower Ltd for Judicial Review

Yesterday, 5 October 2017,  Lord Doherty heard an appeal by Community Windpower Ltd, regarding the Stop and Enforcement Notices issued by East Ayrshire Council, in relation to their Sneddon Law Windfarm development.

These Notices stopped any further unauthorised activity which may lead to damage of private water supplies.

There was a good turnout of concerned members of the public in court and this was referred to by CWL’s lawyers and was much appreciated by East Ayrshire Council.

This morning, 6 October, Lord Doherty found in favour of East Ayrshire Council and awarded them expenses.

Lord Doherty’s Judgement will be published shortly at http://www.scotcourts.gov.uk/search-judgments/court-of-session

A great day indeed and well worth the long day in court to see the panicked expressions on some faces.
