Just had a letter back from Alister Jack MP regarding the construction of Stranoch Wind Farm This is the 5th wind farm we can see (and hear!) from our home with just under 100 turbines visible Stranoch ones will be closer and much much taller and directly in front of our property

When the next wind farm is consented (as they all are in this area) at the back of our house we will have not one window where turbines are not visible!

Can we get any trees planted to hide them – no Can we get any triple glazing – no Can we get any compensation – NO

And as if to add insult to injury we will have to make a long detour through New Luce to get to Stranraer Can we get any compensation for that – of course not! And New Luce Community Council who are supposed to represent the whole community and not just the village just keep rubbing their hands as the cash comes in as it doesn’t affect them and instead of spending the cash on those worst affected or to help people keep warm by upping their winter fuel grant they instead choose to spend it on buying the village pub and doing a very expensive refurbishment on it What a dire place this is But can we move – no cos who would want to buy a house surrounded by wind farms!!!
