The Petiton is to be kept open and more information will be requested from the Scottish Government before a decision is made.
DPEA will give extra training to Reporters on how to handle Inquiries and allow members of the public to give their views in a safe environment.
More information will be requested on the new Depopulation Action Plan which appears to suggest that local decisions will prevail. The new approach will be “Local by Default” and National by Agreement”. This appears to be a new approach which has been adopted by the Scottish Government. The Clerks will ask how it will influence decisions.
