A wind farm comprising up to 8 turbines to a maximum tip height of 185m, associated tracks, substation & control building, meteorological mast, 2 borrow pits, temporary construction compound and 30MW energy storage compound.
For clarity Planning permission under the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 was
granted by Moray Council for a wind farm at the same location in November 2014 (Planning
Reference 13/00615/EIA) called Kellas Wind Farm. Permission was granted for 8 wind turbines
with a tip height of 110m but was restricted by condition to 4 turbines. This consent is still extant
as construction of an access track was started.
