As members of the DPEA Stakeholder Group, SAS received the following email today from David Liddell Assistant Chief Reporter, relating to the community sessions which are held during oral proceedings such as Inquiries and Hearings.   If you have any comments which you would like us to pass on, please let us know by 12 June.  The draft Guidance note is attached below.

We are proposing a new guidance document, attached, which will aim to formalise what has been our emerging practice of holding, in some larger cases where there is a great deal of community interest and involvement, ‘community hearings’ to better facilitate that involvement in a way which suits community members and community representatives.
