Government is acutely aware of the importance of this technical and complex piece of work. We
are continuing to work with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure that updates to ETSU-R-97
provide decision makers with the best possible guidance, enabling onshore wind to be built
whilst also balancing potential impacts.
It is now our intention to publish updated guidance in autumn 2025, subject to outstanding work
to finalise key aspects of the guidance. We cannot provide a more specific date at this time
