COUNCILLORS launched a scathing attack on an applicant and agent seeking planning permission for a 24m high wind turbine at a meeting on Monday, but still gave their approval.

Councillor Stuart Bell called the submitted photomontages showing the proposed turbine near Langshaw as ‘appalling’ and said it was ‘unacceptable’ that such images were being submitted by developers.
