Fife’s first commercial windfarm became fully operational at Little Raith Farm on the outskirts of Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly and as part of the development, operators, Kennedy Renewables, are committed to contributing to a community fund for use on local projects within Lumphinnans, Cowdenbeath, Auchtertool and Lochgelly community council areas. The fund, based on on the site’s capacity, amounts to £49,500 annually and the Four Winds Development Trust and Little Raith Community Liaison Forum were set-up by members of the four community councils to manage the funds.
