Highlands and Islands MSP Tim Eagle has said that he is alarmed by continued attempts by developers to win consent for giant wind farm schemes in some of Scotland’s most remote and scenic areas.
Mr Eagle added: “A major problem is that Scotland, effectively, lacks an energy policy. There has been little strategic thinking from the SNP and the result is a lack of coherence with decisions driven by short-term political consideration especially the need to buy off the Scottish Greens who the SNP rely on for support at Holyrood.  https://www.northern-times.co.uk/news/msp-alarmed-by-giant-turbine-schemes-proposed-for-the-far-439086/?utm_id=97757_v0_s00_e0_tv2_a1demoo53jfjhl&fbclid=IwY2xjawS08tRleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEemcT3FWfjTRyOnlOvG4emjBCsaYw5zJoNft8urr0o_75zXZi7UiUb2yE2J1o_aem_4sc22Xvx8cQmBCdfgtBjYA
