Dear supporters,
this afternoon Equal Rights of Appeal will be debated in Parliament.
Judging by the way the voting went yesterday we will not get Equal Rights of Appeal.
The SNP and Conservatives are now working closely together making it a developers bill.
We need to make a noise about this so please do your best to tweet and share disappointment on social media as much as you can.
Please tweet your comments this afternoon to
@BBCPhilipSim @kevinstewartSNP and @GrahamSMSP or Graham Simpson’s facebook page at Graham Simpson MSP #equalrightofappeal #Planningbill
so please cc the correspondent Philip Sim in @BBCPhilipSim to get maximum coverage for us.
Anything that expresses huge disappointment, the fact that the politicians who voted against are not listening to the people who vote for them and the unfairness of the system is good. Good to big up the greens and labour for supporting communities to if you feel you want to, thank Andy Wightman or Alex Rowley for putting in amendments on ERA.
Thanks everyone for all your support and help to try and achieve equality but we have been stitched up.
We will continue however to fight for your voice to be heard. We are not going to go away.
Yesterday we had one small win which was to get a review of local place plans (not for 7 years mind you). We will use every upcoming opportunity in the future to continue to get better rights for you all.
We are so sorry to bring you this news.
Apologies for double posting, we will sort out contacts after the planning bill to reduce this from happening.
Take care all
Clare
