A Scottish trade union leader has accused the UK government of “running down” jobs in oil and gas and called for the “self-harming” energy policy to end.
GMB Scotland secretary Louise Gilmour told the Herald newspaper that Scotland is being “gaslit” over the promise of future jobs in renewables.
“Unfortunately for ministers, promising a just transition does not make it happen and repeatedly telling Scots that jobs are coming does not create them,” Gilmour said.
